Good heavens, I'm facetious.
The feature of this outfit is the arm warmers. Originally, I intended to just wear them with the white baby tee. Unfortunately, that alone was not enough to keep me warm, and so I added the brown lace shrug underneath...which is supposed to tie. The trick around that was to tuck the ends underneath the bottom hem of my bra, therefore securing it under my shirt with no visible lumps. In the end, I really liked the look with the shrug.
white "green is good" baby tee : hand-me-down from a friend*
brown lace shrug : one item I got during a shopping spree-gift that my mum's cousin gave me
pink arm warmers : sleeves from an old sweater of my mum's
yellow and white checked skirt with brown waist : Etsy
purple footless tights : some store
brown suede boots : gift from my stepmom
*The story behind this tee is fun. When I was in 10th grade I went to Washington, D.C. with some other 10th grade kids from my synagogue. We petitioned to our representatives about various issues. The morning of our petitions, I realized that I had not accounted for the indecency of the tank top I had intended to wear under my chartreuse blazer. While at Capitol Hill (if that's where we were..I really don't know anything about these politic things), I was able to keep everything under control. Right afterward, we went to the airport to fly back home. It was there that the lace trim on the bust began pulling away from the rest of the shirt, making it entirely unwearable. Thankfully, one of the other girls on the trip randomly had a shirt in their bag that she no longer wanted. In fact, if memory serves, she had no idea where it even came from.
That paragraph makes it sound very much as though I prefer fashion over politics. And it indicates a lack of interest in politics. We won't get into that. :)
