Jester
Possibly already mentioned this, can't remember if I actually have...but one of my most darling friends from school called me up and told me he had some women's clothing to get rid of...welllll, he certainly came to the right place! So, I credit him for two of the pieces I'm wearing.
black empire tunic : hand-me-down from (the other) CJ
black and red argyle tights : hand-me-down from CJ
black militia ankle boots : Goodwill
red chunky bracelet : hand-me-down from Ima
black rose bracelet : Claire's
flower chain necklace : belt from an OLD velvet dress thing
Draco Malfoy Wig
Why is this thing SO touchy? I haven't been able to upload pics since--well last time I posted! Anyway this is a new wig of mine--this time natural hair rather than synthetic. It was on the more affordable side, simply because a.) it is meant for a mannequin, and b.) it is not very "thick"--the wefts of hair are spaced rather far apart. Nonetheless, it fits quite nicely, and does the trick enough for me. Its debut will be at the FINAL HARRY POTTER MOVIE!

What a hipster..
So as part of my love to dress up, I've decided that I want to be able to represent as many "groups" as possible.
Okay that's bull. I've been called a hipster so many times that I just had to. This plaid gem came from W*****t, as did the jeans. Oh, that's just awful. I also popped the lenses out of some 3D glasses, so I've got the hipster specs covered too. Nooo...
Choke
This choker is annoying.
black and plum lightweight hoodie : W*****t (I shop here entirely too much for one who has sworn to hate it for eternity...)
brown feline print skirt : from like 6th grade..
black fishnet stockings : Hot Topic, I think
black retro-ish shoes : Plato's Closet
black cameo choker : Valley Thrift
Casual Friday
This was fun, especially when I went into the bank to discuss a withdrawal discrepancy...
pinstriped suit coat : Goodwill
beatles tee : hand-me-down from Ima
black leggings : hand-me-down from Ima
red plaid and lace miniskirt : eBay costume piece
badass ankle boots : hand-me-down from Ima
Study Session
I like this one too. It also features something I made... ;)
white button down shirt : Goodwill
white wife beater : W*****t
cuffed blue jeans : years ago..
green and blue mini skirt : remastered by yours truly!
Yes, for the skirt...well the green bit is an old pair of pj pants. The blue bit is a skirt that I cut into strips, and then pinned into ruffles, and then sewed. I believe I discussed this in a much earlier post. And my mom's dog ate some of the pins.
Zebra
One of my favorite things to do with clothes is to disguise sleepwear (a.k.a. lingerie) as everyday wear. Take this zebra print blouse, for example. Found it in the lingerie section. Definitely a multi-purpose item. Of course, this only works with pieces that aren't extremely risqué. I especially like to do it with nighties :)
black crochet shrug : hand-me-down from Ima
tan and black/brown zebra blouse : W*****t (I regret it..)
blue jeans : W*****t (yes...I know...)
white woven bracelet : made by yours truly!
faux pearl necklaces : Goodwill
Finally!
YES! The server has been rejecting my pictures for the longest time, so I've not been updating. Finally! This outfit is a few weeks old, obviously...but fun nonetheless! And I recently found out that I have new fans, who I didn't even know existed! Yes!
plaid & yellow vest : Goodwill
black polo : hand-me-down from Ima
black sleeves : hand-me-down from Ima
blue polyester skirt : Goodwill
pink tights leggings : some store somewhere
black argyle knee-his : some other store elsewhere
gray knock-off chucks : W*****t
I never wear polos. Ever. So this was a new thing for me. I'm considering trying it again.

A hint of Gatsby
As for the clothing itself--braless, ladies! This lovely tunic dress of mine just happens to have an exceptionally low waist, so I've got that covered, especially when paired with my flowy kerchief skirt. Since the weather today is 30s and rainy, I put a couple lace tops on underneath, which also made the cleavage less blatantly there.
Since, in the 20s, womens' hair tended to be short and simple, easy-to-do styles, while my hair is long, I came up with my own alternative. Long, easy-to-do styles...aka messy bun! It is exceptionally lovely if little tendrils of hair fall out :)
As for jewelery, big earrings set with rhinestones, pearls, etc. held closer to the ear (think clip-on) seemed to be popular. Since I haven't really got any like that, I decided to just go with my awesome elephant earrings. Necklaces should be rather like mardi-gras beads.
strawberry sparkle tunic : hand-me-down from Ima, Etsy purhcase
blue tie-dye 3/4 sleeve cardigan : hand-me-down from Ima
lace cami : W*****t
long sleeved lace blouse : eBay
brown stretch kerchief skirt : Macy's gift from Ima's cousin
panty hose : your local Walgreens/CVS
brown steam punk boots : eBay
lennon specs : Purim 2011
pearl and gold necklaces : Valley Thrift
And now, for some Gatsby men!
