Finally!

YES!  The server has been rejecting my pictures for the longest time, so I've not been updating.  Finally!  This outfit is a few weeks old, obviously...but fun nonetheless!  And I recently found out that I have new fans, who I didn't even know existed!  Yes!

plaid & yellow vest : Goodwill
black polo : hand-me-down from Ima
black sleeves : hand-me-down from Ima
blue polyester skirt : Goodwill
pink tights leggings : some store somewhere
black argyle knee-his : some other store elsewhere
gray knock-off chucks : W*****t

I never wear polos.  Ever.  So this was a new thing for me.  I'm considering trying it again.

I LOVE JUSTIN BIEBER

Good heavens, I'm facetious.
The feature of this outfit is the arm warmers.  Originally, I intended to just wear them with the white baby tee.  Unfortunately, that alone was not enough to keep me warm, and so I added the brown lace shrug underneath...which is supposed to tie.  The trick around that was to tuck the ends underneath the bottom hem of my bra, therefore securing it under my shirt with no visible lumps.  In the end, I really liked the look with the shrug.

white "green is good" baby tee : hand-me-down from a friend*
brown lace shrug : one item I got during a shopping spree-gift that my mum's cousin gave me
pink arm warmers : sleeves from an old sweater of my mum's
yellow and white checked skirt with brown waist : Etsy
purple footless tights : some store
brown suede boots : gift from my stepmom

*The story behind this tee is fun.  When I was in 10th grade I went to Washington, D.C. with some other 10th grade kids from my synagogue.  We petitioned to our representatives about various issues.  The morning of our petitions, I realized that I had not accounted for the indecency of the tank top I had intended to wear under my chartreuse blazer.  While at Capitol Hill (if that's where we were..I really don't know anything about these politic things), I was able to keep everything under control.  Right afterward, we went to the airport to fly back home.  It was there that the lace trim on the bust began pulling away from the rest of the shirt, making it entirely unwearable.  Thankfully, one of the other girls on the trip randomly had a shirt in their bag that she no longer wanted.  In fact, if memory serves, she had no idea where it even came from.

That paragraph makes it sound very much as though I prefer fashion over politics.  And it indicates a lack of interest in politics.  We won't get into that.  :)

Two Looks with Cargo

To continue my series of long-skirted ensembles, here are two different ways to swing this cargo skirt.  The blouse in the top photo is actually a tunic with a fringe on the end, and...it is very hard to describe.  It is not an easy piece to wear, as the shape is actually incredibly awkward.  As is apparent in these photos.

The second outfit makes me think of the beach, for absolutely no reason.

Outfit one...
dark tan cargo skirt : hand-me-down from Ima
yellow and gold tunic : hand-me-down from Ima
brown-ish gray cargo jacket : Valley Thrift

Outfit two...
dark tan cargo skirt : amazingly, same place as above!
white collared button up shirt : Goodwill
gray camisole with coral lace trim : Plato's Closet
blue knit arm warmers : Etsy

Fashion Bug

This is one of the $2 pieces from Wal-Mart.  Apparently it is supposed to be a ladybug costume, but to me it looks more like a cute dress.  :)

With a few key additions, it becomes a nice and toasty outfit for school!

ladybug dress : Wal-Mart
ripped blue jeans : from when I was a kid
white half jacket : gift from mum's cousin
fuzzy black scarf : I don't rightly remember
red and white striped legwarmers : one of my few pieces of spirit wear for my university
Lora Como heels : eBay (apparently they're Japanese vintage..?)
black crochet armwarmers : made by yours truly!
